You have to be 18+ to participate in the fest!You should have an Ao3 account (if you want to participate as a writer),
The contact will all be done by our email ([email protected]), so, please make sure to add it to your contact list to prevent emails ending up in the spam folder! However, if you have any smaller question or a problem with the emails, don’t hesitate to DM the fest’s twitter account (@merBTS_fest).All BTS ships are allowed, including poly, but the OCs in the main pairing or Y/N fics are not allowed.Please, respect the restricted and sensitive content lists while leaving the prompts, and add the DW and DNW (do wants and do not wants), so it will be easier for the claimer,
If you don’t have an Ao3 account, but you still want to add a prompt, fill out the prompting form (linked under the ‘forms’),
Self-prompts are allowed as soon as the claiming period begins.Only one claim per prompt is allowed,
You are allowed to claim maximum of 2 prompts (including self-prompts) per person,
You have to fill out a claiming form within the next 48 hours after claiming a prompt, or your claim will be deleted!
Artists DO NOT have to claim the prompt on Ao3 – you only should fill out the claiming form for artists!
Please respect the restricted and sensitive content lists as well as the prompter’s DW and DNW while creating your work.Please, respond to the check-in emails within the next 48 hours, or else it will be considered that you dropped out!
If you want to drop out, please let us know by filling out the drop out form or by emailing/DMing the fest! It will help with the organization a lot! There are no consequences for dropping out, this is all to have fun!The work reveals will be anonymous! So once you claim a prompt, it should stay a secret what it is exactly. You can still post on #wipwednesday and tag the fest account, so that we can rt, but be careful not to give out your prompt(s)!
The minimum word count is 1k, but the WIPs are allowed. Even if we encourage you to post finished works, don’t stress yourself – the fest was created to gather merfolk enthusiasts and to have fun, so that’s all that matters!
Once you’re revealed as an author after the authors reveals, you’re free to make your own promo tweet and we will gladly rt it as well!Since the underwater world might be wild and cruel, the sensitive content is allowed, but it has to be tagged properly.
If your work contains any of the restricted content tropes or a sign of plagiarism, it is going to be deleted from the fest.
